WebSocle SSL Protection Policy for Website Security and Availability

HomepageNews from UsWebSocle SSL Protection Policy for Website Sec...
26 Oct 2026

At WebSocle, maintaining the security and availability of our clients' websites is a top priority.

If a commercial SSL certificate installed on a hosted website expires and is not renewed, our system may automatically install a trusted Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, when technically possible, to help maintain HTTPS connectivity and reduce the risk of website security warnings or service interruptions.

This automatic replacement is intended solely as a continuity and security safeguard.

Renewal Responsibilities

Website owners remain responsible for monitoring, renewing, and maintaining their SSL certificates before expiration.

WebSocle's automatic Let's Encrypt deployment should not be considered a replacement for renewing commercial SSL certificates when they are required for:

  • Organization Validation (OV) certificates
  • Extended Validation (EV) certificates
  • Certificate warranty coverage
  • Business, contractual, or compliance requirements
  • Specific certificate brands or providers
  • Any additional validation features associated with a commercial certificate

Clients who require these benefits should ensure their certificates are renewed before expiration to avoid losing the features associated with their original SSL certificate.

Our Commitment

As SSL certificate lifecycles continue to evolve across the industry, WebSocle remains committed to helping clients maintain secure websites while minimizing service disruptions whenever possible.

If you have questions regarding your SSL certificate, certificate renewal, or CSR generation, please contact our support team.
